STOCKING DRIVE
We are having a stocking drive for the residents of the Corner Brook Hotel. The stockings will include a list of items to buy, such as toiletries, treats, and a pair of gloves or mitts, plus a gender. People can pick up a stocking at church on Sunday, fill it up and bring it back by December 21.
CHRISTMAS DINNER
Join us at the church on Sunday, December 21, at 5:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Tickets are $10 each or $20 for a family. You can pay for your tickets when you arrive at the event.
We would love for you to register and join us. You do not need to register to attend, but it’s helpful for food preparation.
Would you like to help? We are looking for volunteers to help with cooking, setup, and cleanup. Contact dan@cbbaptist.ca if you can volunteer.
CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE
Join us at the church on December 24 at 6:00 p.m.
We are looking for volunteers to perform special music and readings. Other ways to get involved include parking, greeting, and helping with the candlelight part of the service. If you are interested, contact Pastor Dan at dan@cbbaptist.ca.
FAMILY SERVICE
Join us on Sunday, December 14, at 11:00 a.m.
ALPHA
We will be running Alpha here at the church on Sunday nights, starting January 11 at 6:00 p.m. Join us for dinner, followed by a video and table discussion. Alpha is a worldwide program that gets people talking about the basics of the faith and exploring Christianity. We would like you to make that a matter of prayer. Pray for Alpha here at Corner Brook Baptist Church, and pray for whom God might want you to invite to the group.

FOOD BANK NETWORK BOARD
Our church is able to appoint a representative from our congregation to sit on the Food Bank Network Board. If you would be interested in this, please contact Pastor Mitchell at mitchell@cbbaptist.ca.
CHRISTMAS KETTLE VOLUNTEER
Bring hope to Corner Brook and the area and volunteer as a Kettle worker. Six locations to choose from. Shifts available until December 24. Contact: Gerald.Fifield@salvationarmy.ca | Phone: 709-634-5398. Last year, the Salvation Army helped over 650 families with a Christmas Hampers.

PRAYER OF THE WEEK
On this Second Sunday of Advent, pray for the gift of peace. Thank God for sending Jesus, the Prince of Peace, and ask for his peace to reign in our hearts, homes, and communities. Pray that we would be instruments of his peace, bringing reconciliation and hope to a world in need.

SAFECHURCH POLICIES
As per our Child Protection Policies, we are asking that parents not let their children go downstairs unsupervised during the first part of our service. We do not have supervision for them before our children's program starts.
ALLERGIES
Our congregation has some people whose allergies and asthma can be triggered by strong scents and perfumes. Therefore, we would like to be as scent-free as possible.
PARKING
If you are fit and able, would you consider parking off-site at Margaret Bowater Park to leave room for the elderly, our visitors, or anyone who needs to park close to the church?
